Here you have the opportunity to work with competent colleagues in our teams; doctors, occupational therapists, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, rehab coordinators, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, and nursing assistants.

The Academic Specialist Center is an operation within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area, SLSO, for patients with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, rheumatic diseases, and obesity, along with a research unit for clinical studies. Within the operation, research, education, development, and innovation are integrated into daily care activities. Our mission includes developing new working methods, innovative use of medical technology and e-health solutions, high patient participation, and collaboration with various healthcare providers and patient associations.

Job responsibilities:
You will work independently in outpatient care, including assessments, counseling/support, and follow-up of patients with multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. You will collaborate with competent colleagues in our multidisciplinary teams. The position may include student supervision, and you will also be active in operational development.

Qualifications:
Licensed physiotherapist.

Merits:

Specialist degree in neurology.

Personal qualities:
You are quick to learn new tasks and have a positive attitude towards work, patients, and colleagues. You enjoy working in a team but can also work independently and have good communication skills.

Employment form:
Temporary position for 1 year. Full-time, Monday - Friday. Start date by agreement.

  • Background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
  • In addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
